The men walked up and surrounded her, staring down at her, they began to pull the masks off and drop them to the floor by her; their faces empty of all emotion as they gazed down at her. She gazed up through blurry blood tinged eyes and tried to focus on the faces gazing down on her.
"You are the end, Tessa. It's over now," Boone calmly announced.
"No, She whispered breathlessly as blood ran out the side of her lips down her frail cheeks; she swallowed and gagged on her own blood. Tears running down the corner of her eyes, the world slowly fading in front of her, her mind pulling away from them. Its not my time. Its a dream. Its just a dream. I want to wake up now. Please let me wake up. I dont want to die.
Boone squatted down beside her, holding the phone as he lay it beside her head, staring at her with no emotion. Her face stricken with such horrific pain, her eyes dimming and dilating. Sweat soaking her body as her lips trembled, she let out a horrible cry of pain and fear, fighting to live.
"Wait," she whispered, as Boone pulled Carvers mask off. "Not yet."She cried pitifully as the darkness of the mask closed in on her. He got up as Dakota took the bat from Nick.
"Have you prayed Tessa? Are you ready to die?" He asked her softly. Dakota stood above her with the bat, raising it up and spread his legs; it crashed into her side.
The sound of her ribs being broken echoed throughout the room as the force hit her so hard she slid twelve inches across the floor, rolling her to her side.
Her body began to shake violently as she went into shock. Dakota handed the bat off to Boone as he pushed her over with his foot, and stared down at her. She was so bloody it was hard to tell that she was woman, let alone human. He walked around her to her legs, and took a practice swing through the air, spraying a fine mist of blood thru the air.
He pulled back with a loud groan, swung down, the sound of bones cracking, and shattering echoed the room as he broke her legs. He pulled back up, and came around as he pulled the bat above his head. "I love you Tessa. And I will love your baby," he said and brought the bat down on the other side of her rib cage, blood shooting out of her mouth on impact. Sending the mask flying across the room. She gasped to breath as her body shook uncontrollably, her body contorted and rolling in spasms. They stared down at her quivering body, as it started to die, blood seeping from her mouth the pavement. Her lungs gurgled horribly as she tried to breath, Boone picked up the phone and squatted down by her, her head rolling softly in it her misery.
"Did you hear that Corey? That was her chest caving in. That gurgling is her drowning in her own blood." He smiled into the phone, "I'm sending you a message, Corey. Dont be a fool and call anyone when you get it. You will regret it and youll never see your dear Tessa again. I would hurry." He closed the phone, and gazed up at the boys. "It's done, time to move boys.
Boone bent down and picked her up gently. He could feel the crushed bones grinding inside her, her body like mush. Her eyes barely open as he carried her limp body to the van out side and they got in slowly.
The sun would be up soon and she was dying fast. Boone held her like a child, pulling her head up to his shoulder and caressed her head.
"Shh. It will be over soon now, he whispered as he pushed her hair from her face, I can feel your life slipping away. Corey is waiting for you, sweetheart. We cant be late for the end,"He whispered to her and kissed her forehead.
