People awaited for the so called End of Days. The return of God to release them from all their sorrow and pain.
They would get their release....but not from God.
The Armed forces unleashed a voilent attack on its own people, laying waste to millions in an attempt to rid its population of the poor and homeless. In what was their idea of saving the planet from over population and the planets dwindling resourses.
Following the devasting bomb attacks on its own soil, soldiers were sent out to kill and rid the cities of what was left behind on the streets, in the projects and homeless shelters. Collecting Welfare records, they hunted and killed everyone in the system.
Halo Bains was born to a dying mother and left to die in the piles of endless bodies.
26 years later.....
Halo resurfaces as a member of The Hord and gets caught stealing horses from the army deemed for slaughter to feed its soldiers. In walks a handsome stranger, in one moment she becomes attracted to him as he trys to win his horse that she accedently included in the herd, in a crooked card game.
The next day while exiting through the pass, she is suddenly attacked and beaten, and taken to the outpost for horse theift.
No ID, No proof of who she is, they take an DNA sample to match it to their records. The DNA matches up to the most powerful man on the planet, the man who was responsible for the carnage and murders of millions. Her Father.
